The Exquisite Beauty of a Flower

Such gentle, noble loveliness
Pure tenderness, so sweet
Gaudy, vivid shades and colours
For eager eyes, a visual treat

The glorious, stunning rose
In its deep shade of red
Alongside the precious white lily
Proud, as if they were wed

Candied, honey-sweet fragrance
Charging the air all around
Expressing it's magic
Without murmuring a sound

Elegant orchids, upon long, thin stems
Soft, stunning petals, fragile yet strong
Revealing to the world their perfection
Unfolding slowly, silently, one by one

Sunflowers, filed in rows upon rows
Deep yellow heads boasting their prettiness
Heads held high, sun-absorbing
Stretching to Heaven in all their Godliness

Wild flowers emerging in fields and meadows
In every colour imaginable to the ambitious eye
Untamed, unruly, an overwhelming sight
Glorious gift from nature to make your heart sigh

Regard with respect these Godsend marvels
Forever find time to pause and wonder
Such admirable radiance from Mother Nature
As through beds of flowers, you wander
